Contest to judge best coffee in Bahrain

December 14, 2017

MANAMA: A competition that  focuses on promoting excellence in coffee making and the barista profession is being held today and tomorrow at the Seef Mall.

Organised jointly by Khalid Almoayed and Sons (KAS) and Projekt8, the Bahrain Coffee Championship is to judge the best baristas from hotels, restaurants and cafes across Bahrain.

Qualified and certified judges from around the world will evaluate each performance on the flavour of beverages served, hygiene, creativity, technical skill and overall presentation.

The ever-popular signature beverage allows baristas to stretch their imagi-nation and come up with the most innova-
tive concepts.

“This being an annual endeavour, each year the best baristas in the country will get together to showcase their talent and put up a competitive event which benefits the industry as a whole,” KAS director Abdulrahman Almoayed said.

“Like many ideas good and simple, the followers for the Bahrain Coffee Championship have grown organically, over the last few months. The Bahrain Coffee Championship aims at keeping the competition fun, inclusive and a lighthearted pursuit that brings forth and amplifies talent in Bahrain.”

According to Projekt8 chief executive Ali Mudara the Bahrain Coffee Championship aims to provide an incentive and give recognition to those who are aiming to serve the perfect cup of coffee to their customers.

The contest will run from 10am to 6pm on both days. Interested hotels, cafes and restaurants can login to www.bahraincoffeechampionship. com for all information they may need on the competition.
